About Me

Hello! My name is Kai Nelson, and I am a UX designer, Graphic designer, and animater. I am originally from Japan and came to the US about 5 years ago. I like creative thinking and thinking outside of the box. I always strive for more and to be a better version of myself and the US gave me the opportunity to do so. I am consistently growing as a person and excited about what will come next!

Project Description

Design an app for students to see tasks, goals, classes, university events, and more in one app. From interviewing, researching, and designing, I created a prototype that is functional, minimal design with animation.

What is one piece of advice you would provide to new ATEC students?

Plan early and do not overthink the project. Have a realistic plan and not have an unrealistic goal that takes you to achieve a whole year.

What’s something that is always on your work desk?

My laptop and coffee. Always there when I studying in the middle of the night or studying in the early morning. Sticky notes of motivational quotes and some books I read in the past.
