About Me

Hello. My name’s Austin Richardson, and I’m an avid gamer with hobbyist passions in level design, pixel art, and most of all, writing (although I still don’t do it enough, I think). I love to create, and to express my unique sense of style. Seeing my ideas manifest themselves into something tangible that I can enjoy keeps me motivated. I do a bit of all that in my free time – as well as lift weights, occasionally – though nothing beats relaxing in front of my computer alone for hours on end!

Project Description

Triada is a worldbuilding project – specifically, a set of simple, conceptual pixel art and detailed text-based descriptions showcasing some of the rules, races, locations, characters, and lore of “Triada,” the fictional fantasy universe set in a present-day time period, that I’ve created.

What is one piece of advice you would provide to new ATEC students?

If you can’t stomach programming, do NOT go down the Games pathway.

What will you miss most about UTD after graduation?

Definitely the campus. As atrocious as my commute was, getting to see UTD’s scenery two to three times a week almost made riding the DART worth it.
