About Me

Hi my name is Sihanya Rocha and I am a multimedia story teller, at the moment my preferred media of storytelling is through podcast making and storyboarding. I likes to make stories or cover stories about the daily lives of people, silly mundane things, and topics that are overlooked. Yet, while I have a background in animation and traditional art, I’m also very passionate about giving back to the community and design. So, for the past few years I have had an interests in UX design specifically in the product design aspect of UX design. Since I feel that this branch of design combines both my passions for story telling, creating, and being of service.

Project Description

There are a lot more skaters in community colleges and universities due to longer distance students have to travel to get to class and skateboards are used as a faster way to get to class. Yet, a problem skaters face is having nowhere to put their board when their board is not in use, and I’m hoping my capstone can be the solution to that problem.

What is one piece of advice you would provide to new ATEC students?

If you want to feel like your part of a community and see your passion projects come to life, learn to let other in and work in a team.

What’s something that is always on your work desk?

A snack or a drink

What will you miss most about UTD after graduation?

Being somewhere where there’s always some event or activity going on.

What’s on your music playlist?

Lots of indie rock and Latin pop/rock.

What’s your favorite memory of ATEC?

The Halloween spooktacular

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

Owning my own studio or company.
