About Me

Hello! My name is Beto Ochoa. I’m a 3D artist. I specialize in sci-fi-themed creature and character design.
My creations aim to strike a balance between artificial and organic features that fade into each other to create something uncanny. I think it’s important to tell a story with every new design, and to show a vulnerable creature behind every set of armor.
This project, “Midas”, is the culmination of these ideas and my love of nature.

Project Description

“Midas” is the sculpture of an alien slave that has fused with its battle armor. Its weaponry and worn appearance give the audience some insight into its prolonged servitude.

What is one piece of advice you would provide to new ATEC students?

Don’t wait for new classes to learn more. Youtube is a great place to learn and you’ll need to be self-sufficient in the future.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

Bringing more of my ideas to life.
