Chase Horton
About Me
I’m Chase Horton, and I’m a developer by trade and a gamer at heart. Originally from Houston, TX, I came to UT Dallas to study Game Design and Development, and have found myself immersed in the study and creation of video games for the last 4 years. With this Capstone, I seek to emulate the core game mechanics from one of my favorite games, “Dark Souls,” and am so happy to have been able to work on this project as it has been very near and dear to my heart. Outside of development I love playing video games, cooking, watching animated TV shows, and bike riding.
Project Description
A recreation of the area “The Undead Burg” and all of the core game mechanics from Dark Souls in the Unity game engine. Aims to showcase what made the game fun, to begin with, and how its mechanics can be recreated by aspiring developers.
