Jessica Lim
About Me
My name is Jessica Lim, and I am a motion designer and digital artist. Learning new skills, embracing curiosity, and seeking to add meaningful value to those around me drives me to improve as an artist of my craft. My Capstone is inspired by a love of travel and culture. Through my work, I want to bring joy and inspiration to others’ lives through empathetic, visually aesthetic design. In my spare time, I like to seek out adventure in nature, play violin, and explore the local sights and food of my hometown.
Project Description
This project is a motion graphics piece introducing a series of Asian desserts from different cafes in the local Dallas-Fort Worth area. Colorful images and graphics give viewers insight into new desserts to try and places to experience Asian culture.
What’s on your music playlist?
Jessica’s favorite tunes are a blend of film, game, and movie soundtracks, Chinese songs, and Korean pop music.
What’s your favorite memory of ATEC?
From getting to see Disney Studios come to ATEC for a special preview of a new film, to meeting inspiring artists and designers at guest panels and events, there were many special events that occurred. My favorite memory, however, lies in the times I got to spend with friends: We put up posters around the building, worked hard on projects together, drank lavender/matcha lattes, and more.
