About Me
I’m Aeros! I do 2d illustration, 3d modeling, and rigging. I like making characters for myself and others, as well as helping to bring those characters to life through various forms of media. I’m particularly interested in the exploration of one’s own identity and unique self-expression, with personal characters as one of the many vehicles of that. Other than art I enjoy playing games, exploring VR experiences, and befriending other people’s cats.
Project Description
This VRChat avatar is a custom appearance for myself that I designed, modeled, surfaced, and rigged. Its purpose was to give myself a virtual suit that would be fun to interact with others in while showing some personalized flair.
What is one piece of advice you would provide to new ATEC students?
Apply for group ATEC projects like Anim Lab and Game Lab even if you don’t think you’re fully ready! At worst you don’t get in and take a different class to keep learning fundamentals, but those collaborative pipeline courses are great for improving your work in an applied way with clear goals.
What’s your favorite memory of ATEC?
My favorite memory of ATEC is meeting one of my current best friends! I walked up to her and fully interrupted a conversation of 3 strangers to tell her she vaguely looks like my fiancé and to ask if I could show him. We went on to become close friends- just goes to show that just being weird and genuine is what gets you some true longterm connections.
